Book Talk at River City Book Club

Sacramento's River City Book Club has been meeting since 1986, and the club's members include a professor Emeritus of Sacramento State University, as well as a journalist who once interviewed cult leader Charles Manson. All of the members are well-traveled and well-versed in various literary genres, judging by their 6-page book list.

I had the good fortune of being invited to talk to the club on the birthday of one of the members, so, in addition to a lovely dinner, we enjoyed peach cobbler and shared travel stories from around the globe.
